About Me and this Blog

My name is Nick Beery and I live with my wife and daughter outside of Phoenix, AZ . I have a long history of working various jobs, which basically starts with 4 years of Marine Corps infantry, to commercial diver, to diplomatic security contractor in Iraq, to roughneck in ND, and finally to HVAC technician in Phoenix, which is where I originally grew up. I’ve always loved the outdoors, and recently have been making more of an effort to spend time there, alone or with my family, in the desert and forested mountains in Arizona.

Why I started this Blog

For the last several years, I’ve had a feeling growing inside me. This feeling, more like a combination of concerns, opinions, and theories, is focused primarily on the state of our country and even mankind as a whole. Governments and mega-corporations are getting stronger. Men are getting weaker. The earth is getting dirtier. The vast majority of us are materialistic compulsive shoppers who’d rather work a 9 to 5 until retirement, and spend every other minute we’re not sleeping wasting our lives away partying, staring endlessly at a TV or smart phone, eating loads of junk food, or some combination of the above. We can hardly bare any discomfort. We rely completely on those that supply our water, groceries, electricity, and fuel to make sure we not only stay alive, but stay completely comfortable, 24/7. It’s very concerning.

I’ve decided to put my concerns and theories on paper. I believe that if people apply the knowledge and skills found in this blog to their lives, governments will get smaller, Earth will become cleaner, and men and families will become stronger.

This doesn’t mean I have all the answers, but I’m certainly looking for them. One problem that rises quickly is the more answers I seek, the more questions pop up. Bear with me.

How do big brother, big pharma, big banks, and big tech become weaker? When we need them less and less. By voting down and protesting government handouts. Eating healthy and exercising to reduce and eliminate self-inflicted diseases and the medications prescribed for them. Staying out of debt as much as possible. Ending our addiction to smart phones, etc. and refocusing on personal growth and self-reliance and sustainability.

But thats not the only solution we’re seeking. Men are getting weaker, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Some are perfectly ok with this. Weak men are easy control. It’s easier to control their families then, as well. But it’s not just about fighting against control. How will weak men take care of their families when disaster strikes? There’s hundreds of theories and predictions on different ways electrical grids will fail, water will become tainted, food you find at the grocery store will become scarce. Weak men will lack knowledge, leadership, and confidence to keep their families alive and safe.

What about Earth? I learned from my dad and as a Boy Scout when I was kid that you always leave a camp site cleaner than you found it. Are we leaving our planet cleaner than we found it? Not even close. Millions or maybe even billions cry out about global warming or climate change, and honestly there’s too many scientific opinions and publishings to know what is really changing, and whether or not it’s man made. You know what I do know? There’s trash everywhere. The air looks dirty. I know we can do better.

So join me in a discussion about pulling away from and weakening those that wish to control and exploit us, build strong men and families, and passing on to the next generation, a home that’s cleaner and healthier than it was when it was passed down to us.

Thank you and enjoy.
